At Grubhub, we know local restaurants are the lifeblood of our communities. Whether it’s getting a Monday morning bacon, egg and cheese from the corner deli, frequenting your favorite pizza joint near the office for lunch, or enjoying bubble teas from a neighborhood cafe for your afternoon break, restaurants are more than part of a routine: they’re family.
Supporting Local Restaurants with Corporate Ordering
A Grubhub Corporate Account is one way to help support the restaurants that mean so much to our communities. When you use Grubhub for your corporate ordering, like catering virtual or in-person events or employee meal programs, you have the ability to easily direct your budget to small and midsize restaurants. In fact, over the last year, 85% of Grubhub corporate orders in 19 major cities were from small and midsize restaurants. The ability to easily support local restaurants is one reason our corporate clients love working with us. Here’s what a few of them have to say about this:
“We appreciate that Grubhub has vendors that are open and want to support our local businesses. Thank you Grubhub for all you are doing to keep these restaurants open!” Claire H, Administrative Assistant, Lakeside Medical
“Our attendees really appreciate the fact that they can pick their favorite local restaurant when we send them Grubhub meal credits for our events.” Cindy S, Sales Professional, Rigidized Metals Corporation
“I loved setting up a Grubhub Corporate Account because it was super easy to order food for my employees and the app suggested Black Owned restaurants to purchase from during Black History Month. We must continue to pursue greatness, for greatness is not a moment but a continued journey.” Dana R, Budget Coordinator, New York Life Insurance Company
Grubhub’s Pledge to Support Local Restaurants
Serving restaurants is the reason Grubhub exists and it guides everything we do. It’s our commitment to put restaurants first—all day, every day. We are committed to helping independent restaurants grow their business and build their customer base through a variety of online ordering and marketing tools. One way we are doing this is through our recently launched product – Grubhub Direct, a platform to help independent restaurants better compete online through commission-free online ordering and access to their customer data.
At the start of the pandemic, Grubhub launched the Grubhub Community Relief Fund to help those impacted, including restaurants, drivers and communities in need. GCRF raised more than $15 million for those impacted, contributing millions to organizations including the Restaurant Strong Fund, World Central Kitchen, and Tacombi World Kitchen, among others. As we look forward, we’re continuing our work with various organizations to ensure our communities can rebuild and thrive – now and in the future.
