At Grubhub, the health and safety of our customers, drivers and restaurant partners is our number one priority. Throughout the COVID-19 outbreak, we’ve followed guidelines from local health and government officials as they work to contain the virus. Furthermore, we will continue to be vigilant and make decisions based on the latest information provided.
Right now, we’re taking actions to prioritize the health and safety of our clients, drivers and restaurant partners by:
- Sharing guidelines for food preparation and delivery. Using CDC recommendations and WHO guidelines, we’ve distributed new training materials and resources to our restaurants and drivers. These include the importance of continued good hygiene with consistent hand washing, asking employees to stay home if they are feeling unwell, and taking appropriate precautions when interacting with others—including using insulated bags and keeping them sanitized.
- Offering contact-free delivery. For your safety and your driver’s, you can request Contact-free delivery for all order types. Select this option at checkout when ordering individually. And for Group Orders, use the Delivery Instructions box to instruct your driver to deliver your food in the freight elevator or messenger center.
Introducing the Grubhub Community Relief Fund
This is a difficult time for our restaurant partners and drivers as people are eating out less. To provide financial relief for impacted restaurants and drivers, we’ve created the Grubhub Community Relief Fund.
